The line. Rorschach launched with Black Works Studio in December 2015 as a 5-by-38 petite panatela. It began as a factory house cigar mixing different filler tobaccos. James Brown likened batch variation to interpreting inkblots. A 6-by-48 toro was announced in April 2026. cigar-coop.com

The brand. James Brown introduced Black Works Studio in late 2015. Killer Bee, NBK and Rorschach were its first three releases. The brand produces small batches at Fábrica Oveja Negra in Estelí, Nicaragua. Its packaging draws on contemporary art. Oveja Negra Brands now distributes the portfolio. cigar-coop.com
