The line. Pennsylvania Edition arrived at Best Cigar Prices in January 2016 as a shop exclusive. It honors the retailer’s home state. Pennsylvania broadleaf appears in the filler, with Nicaraguan Estelí and Condega leaf. License-plate artwork reinforces the state theme. cigar-coop.com

The brand. Erik Espinosa built 601 into his largest line. La Zona handled 601 before the later transfer. Capacity constraints led him to move 601 to A.J. Fernández’s new San Lotano factory in 2016. Older 601 cigars had been produced by Pepin García. cigaraficionado.com
