The 30-second version

  • Say you are new and want something mild. Give your budget and your time.
  • Buy singles first, and keep the band so you can find it again.

What to say

"I'm new to cigars. I'd like something mild. My budget is ___ and I have about ___ minutes."

Mention any cigar you already liked, with its exact name and size.

Check it before you buy

Look for an even wrapper without cracks. Press gently along the cigar. It should feel firm all the way, with a little give.
