Store them well

Keep cigars fresh for weeks or months.

The 30-second version

  • Habanos advises 65–70% humidity at 16–18°C (61–64°F).
  • A sealed plastic box with a humidity pack works fine, and so does a wooden humidor. Never use the fridge.

Two easy setups

Sealed plastic box
Add a two-way humidity pack. Boveda suggests 69% for airtight containers, or 65% in humid climates.
Wooden humidor
Season it before use, as the maker instructs. Check it with a hygrometer.

Simple rules

  • Keep cigars away from sunlight and heaters.
  • Never spray water on the cigars.
  • A hygrometer shows the humidity. Check that it reads correctly.
  • For a short trip, use a sealed bag or box with a humidity pack.
